Meet the designer
“When thinking of a way to honor my culture this month in particular, I thought first of the experiences I’ve had as an African American woman - especially in America. We are so often given names that do not embody who we are. I wanted to make a statement that is both true and greatly needed.  As a mother and member of society, I feel that representing a true depiction of what Blackness is and can be so vital to the growth and maturity of our world. Black History is American History, and honoring those who made our very existence what it is today is so important to me.

When you buy a piece from this collection, you’re not only  celebrating Black History, but it’s present and future as well. The care that was taken by our goldsmiths with my designs is remarkable. We have a jeweler on our team, Jackie who worked so diligently to ensure that these piece looked and felt exactly how I needed them to. She knew just how important this collection and the message that “Black Is Beautiful” is. So, I’m beyond honored to partner with Brent Miller on this amazing collection and work alongside such an incredible team who honors, respects and sees me as a person”.
